ADAM TUTTLE
Adam was 12 and in the 7th grade when he appeared on STARCADE! show #87 in July 1983. He played a good game ... with he and his opponent Troy DePonte running a close race. But when the smoke cleared, it was Adam who won the overall competition and the right to play for the Grand Prize, a Super Zaxxon video arcade game.
He chose to play Q*Bert and did not make the score he needed to win ... but he took home some major prizes anyway ... a Texas Instruments Computer for being the Overall Winner, a ColecoVision for naming 4 games on the Name the Game Round and a Scisys Sensor Chess for choosing the Mystery Game, Dorodon. You could hardly call him a loser.
In his tryout paperwork, Adam said, "I really love sports and I love to fish." He described his video game playing ability as "good." When asked why he wanted to be on STARCADE!, he said, "I really like to win a game and I love to play video games."
Adam tells us that today, he's "working in Internet Advertising ... I studied Photography in college but when the World Wide Web emerged, I knew I had found my calling ... I've spent the last 8 years working for multiple Internet companies including Amazon.com, Prodigy Internet, among others. My early love for video games grew into a full-fledged passion for technology when I was awarded the Texas Instruments Personal Computer on STARCADE! I proceeded to teach myself BASIC programming and the rest is history ... That fascination with computers blossomed into my present career and I have YOUR show to thank for that! I wonder what I would be doing if I had been on Wheel of Fortune instead?"
