OWEN STEEN
Owen's show was all about ONE game - M.A.C.H. 3. Owen was 19. His opponent William Franier was 22. They were both truly great video game players. They had the same score on game 2 Cosmic Chasm and William took game 3 MegaZone by 470 points - a tight game EXCEPT for game 1. Owen scored 26,600 points to William's 8,300 on game 1 M.A.C.H. 3 and there was just no way William could catch up.
In his bio for the show, Owen described his game playing ability as "awesome". He was right about that. He also said, "...I would like to major in Media Broadcasting (in college) to someday be a Director or a Producer of a television show like STARCADE! or a prime time TV show ... I'm currently employed as a Video Technician to do minor repairs on home video equipment such as VCR's, cameras and video disc."

married to my high school sweetheart since the 10th grade. In fact, she was with me during the tryouts and live taping of the show. We will be married for 15 official years as of September 1, 2005. We have a 13 year old daughter who enjoys video games as well. A few years after the show, I was accepted into the Sacramento Sheriff's Academy and became a Deputy Sheriff. I later transferred to Contra Costa and became a Deputy Marshal for about 5 years. During that time, I went to school to earn my degree in business. I am no longer in law enforcement and I have been in finance for over 8 years. I am currently an Equity Analyst for an emerging communications company in the Bay Area. I am still a big fan of video games and I haven't really slowed down."
