CARLOS MATOS
Carlos was in thirteen years old in the summer of 1983 when his Starcade show was taped. When asked what the most interesting thing about him was, he said, "Nothing I'm just a plain, ordinary, freckled nose kid." And he described his game playing ability as "average". Carlos was anything but "average" in playing games - don't let the looks deceive you. Carlos was one savy player!
Carlos scored less than his opponent on the first (Sinistar) and third (Star Trek) games they played but he more than made it up on the second (Krull) game. Carlos took Krull with enough points to wipe out his opponents' lead, beating him by just a few hundred points. Tough for his opponent but a great competition between two very good players.
