DONALD GIBBLE
When he tried out for Starcade! in the summer of 1983, Donald was 14 and getting ready for High School in the Fall. He collected comic books - "...I have about 1,350. Also I participated in the audience of AM San Francisco 8 times ... I wrote movie reviews for the San Francisco Cronicle last summer (1982)."
The Grand Prize on his show was a Tac Scan video arcade game. At 14 Donald wanted to be on Starcade! and win a video arcade game. He did both.
In 2008 when he checked in, he told us he "I am now a talent manager specializing in kid actors." Showbiz runs deep in Donald's family (Donald's Grandmother was a Vaudeville star) ... "At 18 years old he directed his first off Broadway play in New York. At 19 years old he produced and directed “The Class of 1990” which he wrote himself. At 22 years old he produced and co-directed “You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown” with actress Mariette Hartley. In 1995 the Pediatric AIDS Foundation asked Donald to produce “The Class of 1990” as a benefit and raised over $50,000 ... Donald did over 200 print ads for Macys, Nordstrom, Levis, and JCPenney as a young child. He did over 100 national commercials including Snickers, Disneyland, Tide, and Colgate. Donald was a regular on hit TV show, “Eight is Enough” and guest starred on “The Love Boat” and “Charlie's Angels”. Donald holds the record with Kim Fields for appearing in ten after school specials."
