Tom was born in Canada and moved to Northern California when he was 9 years old. In his short bio, he said, "I attended Campbell High School & West Valley College. I began my career as a Porsche mechanic...and now own a Porsche Repair shop...I married ... share our home with two Golden Retrievers ... In my free time I race my Porsche 935, and also enjoy snow skiing and ballroom dancing. And, of course, I enjoy playing video games."

He described his game playing ability as "fair to good" ... and his reason for wanting to be on STARCADE! ... "to be in a competitive atmosphere" and "to try to win a game for my store".

We received an email from Tom on June 4, 2011 that said, "Hi there. It's Tom Amon from episode 119, let's do it again, I'm ready! Still in the Porsche business - check out my website: http://www.mobileworkswest.com ... Engaged to be married on 11-11-11. ... What an adventure it was. Good to hear from you all!"
