• Lori Graham
    SHOW #37 & #48
    taped: 7/14/1983 & 7/28/1983
Wow! This one had sparkle!

Lori was 16, a 10th grader in high school when she appeared on Starcade! She was cute, unassuming and looked 'easy to beat.' Forget that, she could play. She easily won in Show #37 so we invited her back for one of the Invitationals to play against some other 'winners.' She won the playoff and played against the other playoff winner for the Grand Prize. It was Zoo Keeper that got her ... her competitor had this game down and easily beat Lori ... but that took nothing away from a truly great Starcade! contestant - great playing ability, heart, enthusiasm and a great sense of fun - a joy to watch!.

Lori described her game playing ability as 'good - kind of.' Actually it was better than good as she demonstrated on her shows. Lori was the "Editor-in-Chief of the school paper ... and I love to act!" Her ambition was to "win and be on TV." She did both.

Lori sent us a 'thank-you' card after the show was taped saying: "To the whole staff... You made my experience a most joyous one. Because of your understanding I felt at home and at ease. You're a talented group of people and I do believe you've won the SuperBowl!!
P.S. Dear Marie (the Contestant Coordinator) ... I love you again."

In 2003 when she checked in, Lori told us, "I have been a CSM for WalMart for almost four years. Been married for nearly three years to the love of my life. ... I had so much fun being on Starcade! and even much more fun referring to the show in days gone by. Mostly it is in passing conversation I ask peeps if they remember the little show with the ton of heart. Then they remember and I tell them how much fun it was to be on .. Mostly I remember how great the crew and cast treated us. They all seemed to have as much fun as we did ... I have continued my love of games to include all types of board and card games and in the past year have attended gaming conventions in Los Angeles. I still like to find new and challenging games to play."
